TRAINING

Classical Dressage
Modern Biomechanics

Developing the complete equine athlete

Training at Seven Hills is centered on developing horses that are balanced, adaptable, and correctly conditioned. We integrate the wisdom of classical dressage with the insights of modern biomechanics to support clear communication and quality movement.

We work with horses at every stage, from starting young horses to rehabilitating those with a history of injury. Each program is individualized to the horse’s temperament and physical needs, prioritizing steady progress in a private, low-pressure setting. We believe the adult amateur deserves professional consistency to reach their goals safely.

More than movements: true gymnastic development

True dressage is about more than riding movements; it is about physical development. We combine the wisdom of classical dressage with the insights of modern biomechanics to build the horse's body correctly. By teaching the horse to carry themselves with proper balance and alignment, we prevent injury and create a ride that is comfortable, safe, and sustainable.

No shortcuts. No force. Just correct, gymnastic development.

Full training & management program

Includes full-care board + 4 training sessions per week

Designed for consistent, long-term development.

Consistency creates results. Riding four days a week allows us to build your horse’s strength and skill gradually, so the work feels easier for them and the lessons actually stick. It’s about making steady progress every week.

  • We handle the details: We manage the daily care and scheduling so you can just enjoy your horse.

  • Focus on quality: We prioritize moving correctly over forcing a result.

Individual training sessions

Available as a specific add-on or for haul-in assessments

Need an extra session to prepare for a competition or clinic, or an assessment of your horse's current way of going? Single sessions allow us to target specific skills or problem-solve specific issues on an as-needed basis.

Training with us

Our program offers a supportive, private environment for the dedicated rider. We emphasize thoughtful progression and individualized care to ensure your horse stays sound, confident, and happy in their work.

I've got a completely different horse

"I brought my big OTTB to Kyra after a difficult, inconsistent start, and finding the right trainer had been a challenge. When Kyra restarted him from the ground up, the change was incredible. I returned from military service to a completely unrecognizable horse—calm, level-headed, patient, and genuinely happy to work. He is relaxed, well-mannered, and a complete gentleman. Kyra’s approach to horsemanship and training is truly unmatched, and she creates a drama-free environment that makes the whole experience a pleasure."

Everything just clicked

"Every lesson with Kyra is valuable. She explains concepts clearly, adapts to different learning styles, and breaks down challenges in a way that creates real “light-bulb” moments. Just as importantly, she is fair, patient, and always puts the horses first—something you can see in the trust they have in her."

I wish I had found Kyra sooner

"I only wish I met Kyra sooner in my equestrian journey. Since joining her program, I’ve become a more confident, effective rider and horsewoman. Her training promotes harmony and partnership in a way that creates engagement and fun, and her perspective—blending classical dressage, biomechanics, behavioral science, and horsemanship—is truly unmatched."

An advocate for the horse

"My young mare had a series of unfortunate events: injury, illness, ulcers, plus behavior challenges that developed as a result of chronic pain. After trial and error on our own, we found ourselves under Kyra’s guidance, and I’m so thankful we did. Kyra is truly an advocate for the horse, taking the time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs. With her honest, straightforward assessments, we’ve made meaningful progress, and seeing my horse comfortable, engaged, and interested in learning again has been such a relief."
