WHat we do
Sound. Balanced. Rideable.
Classical, biomechanics-based training for the modern horse
At Seven Hills Training, we blend classical dressage, biomechanics, and horsemanship to develop horses that move freely and riders who can support them with balance, clarity, and feel. Our programs are designed to build the correct foundation, develop strength and straightness, and support clear progression through the levels.
Whether starting a young horse, rebuilding after injury, or advancing your training, our individualized programs create the foundation for long-term soundness, confidence, and connection.

About me
Clinical experience & classical training
I’m a lifelong equestrian with a background in classical dressage and a focused interest in biomechanics, soundness, and correct development. I began riding at a young age and worked professionally with horses through my teens, shaping a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to training and teaching.
Alongside my work as a trainer, I bring over a decade of experience as a veterinary technician in equine and small-animal practice. This clinical background informs my rehabilitation-focused work and close collaboration with veterinarians and equine professionals.
My training centers on classical dressage, biomechanics, and learning theory. My approach has been shaped by respected mentors including Debbie McDonald, Dr. Gerd Heuschmann, and Danica Yates, whose influence continues to guide how I think about movement, learning, and horse welfare.
My family and I moved to our current facility in Monroe in November 2025. I’m grateful to be fully onsite in a quiet, focused training environment. To learn more about my approach to training and rehabilitation, I invite you to explore the blog or reach out to start a conversation about your horse and goals.
OUR APPROACH
The principles that guide us
We believe horses and riders make the most progress when training builds clarity, confidence, and understanding, not tension or force.
Classical dressage principles
Training follows a systematic, gymnastic progression that develops balance, strength, and relaxation in the correct order. This foundation allows horses to progress confidently and sustainably through their work.
Biomechanics-informed training
Training follows a systematic, gymnastic progression that develops balance, strength, and relaxation in the correct order. This foundation allows horses to progress confidently and sustainably through their work.
Horse-first, welfare-centered
Every decision starts with the horse. We prioritize relaxation, fairness, and understanding, creating willing partners who feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
Rehabilitation expertise
With a strong understanding of movement dysfunction, we support horses recovering from injury or managing chronic tension through thoughtful conditioning, in-hand work, and correct ridden development—always in coordination with the horse’s broader care team when appropriate.
