I understand that I am responsible for all costs associated with such treatment.

SECTION 4 — WASHINGTON STATE EQUINE ACTIVITY STATUTE

Notice required by Washington State law (RCW 4.24.540): Under Washington law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. By signing this document, you acknowledge that you are aware of this statutory provision and are voluntarily assuming the risks associated with equine activities.

SECTION 5 — ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF INHERENT RISKS

I understand and acknowledge that equine activities — including but not limited to riding, ground work, lunging, in-hand work, handling, and observing horses at close range — involve significant and inherent risks. These risks exist regardless of the skill level of the participant or the care taken by organizers, instructors, or facility staff. I acknowledge that the following risks are inherent to equine activities and cannot be eliminated:

  • Horses and other equines can be unpredictable and may react suddenly to sounds, movement, weather conditions, other animals, or unfamiliar stimuli

  • Horses may kick, bite, strike, rear, bolt, buck, or otherwise behave in ways that cause injury to riders, handlers, or bystanders

  • Falls from horses can occur even among experienced riders and may result in serious injury

  • Equipment, tack, and footing conditions may fail or contribute to accidents

  • Horse-to-horse interactions in group settings, including during clinic exercises at the instructor’s direction, may create hazards

  • Mounting, dismounting, and performing exercises at the clinic instructor’s direction carry inherent risk

  • Spectators and auditors in or near equine facilities may be exposed to risks from loose or startled horses, equipment, and facility conditions

I understand that participation in or attendance at this event may result in personal injury, accident, illness, or death, including but not limited to sprains, broken bones, concussion, head or neck injuries, paralysis, dismemberment, or death, as well as damage to or loss of personal property. No warranty, express or implied, is made regarding the habits, disposition, suitability, training, or physical condition of any horse or animal present at the event.

SECTION 6 — EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF RISK

In full recognition of the inherent risks described above, I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this event (or that any minor for whom I am responsible is so capable). I participate or attend willingly and voluntarily. I assume full and sole responsibility for any personal injury, accident, illness, or death, and for any damage to or loss of personal property, that may result from my participation in or attendance at this event, regardless of cause.

SECTION 7 — RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being permitted to participate in or attend the Gerd Heuschmann Riding Clinic at Seven Hills Training (June 2–4, 2026), I, for myself and for any minor children for whom I am a parent, legal guardian, or otherwise responsible, and on behalf of my heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the following parties (collectively, “Released Parties”) from all liability and waive any and all claims for damage, injury, death, or loss of property arising from any cause whatsoever in connection with this event:

  • Seven Hills Training LLC, its owners, members, directors, managers, employees, agents, volunteers, and subcontractors

  • Gerd Heuschmann, individually and in his capacity as clinic instructor, and any business entity through which he operates

  • All event sponsors, co-organizers, and supporting organizations

  • All property owners, lessors, and facility managers associated with the event venue

This release applies to all claims arising from the negligence of any Released Party, to the fullest extent permitted by Washington State law, and is governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute arising from this agreement shall be resolved in Snohomish County, Washington.

No action is required to permit this use.
